Engineering Responsible Manager / Technical Product Owner

About the role

You will join Philips Medizin Systeme Böblingen’s Sustaining & Value Engineering team, responsible for maintaining and continuously improving a global portfolio of patient‑monitoring systems. The role combines technical product ownership, project leadership and cross‑functional collaboration in a highly regulated medical‑technology environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve the active product portfolio of patient monitoring systems.
• Lead design change projects addressing component obsolescence, quality improvements and cost optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with the latest medical device standards and regulations, including IEC 60601‑1.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and international stakeholders to drive engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical, Medical or related engineering.
• Several years of experience in the medical device or other highly regulated industry.
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Product development and design verification.
• Risk management and product lifecycle processes.
• Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of IEC 60601‑1 and related international standards.
