Field Network Technician – 2-Day Deployment in Ludwigsburg

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Field Network Technician to perform a two‑day on‑site deployment and migration in Ludwigsburg, Germany. The role involves installing, documenting, and testing network equipment while coordinating with a remote engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Day 1 – Rack, cable, and install SIM cards for Out‑of‑Band connectivity; survey and validate Access Point locations; capture asset data (serial numbers, makes, models) against the BOM; take “before and after” photos of network rooms and cabinets.
• Day 2 – Organise cabling using Velcro or cable ties; perform network speed tests on both circuits and document results with screenshots.
• Maintain remote connectivity using a laptop and mobile hotspot to coordinate with offshore support.

Required profile

• Proven experience in network installations, upgrades or migrations in live production environments.
• Solid practical understanding of IP configuration (ipconfig), MAC addresses, IMEI numbers, ping and traceroute.
• Ability to install SIM cards, configure APNs and verify cellular connectivity.
• Strong remote collaboration skills, comfortable using video‑conferencing tools such as Microsoft Teams.
