Field Service Engineer – Autonomous Vehicles (Germany)

About the role

As a Field Service Engineer for TractEasy, you will be the on‑site expert for our autonomous vehicle solutions across the EMEA region. Based in Germany, you will deploy, commission, maintain and support fleets of autonomous vehicles, ensuring high customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute deployment and entry‑into‑service of autonomous vehicles together with the Project Manager.
• Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as hands‑on installation and configuration of hardware and software components.
• Lead commissioning activities, validate vehicle setups and provide feedback for product improvement.
• Deliver basic and advanced training sessions and assist customers in operating the vehicles.
• Provide remote assistance through the support system and participate in on‑road authorization testing and documentation.
• Report risks, issues and scope variations, supporting risk‑management plans.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment, maintenance and operational best practices.

Required profile

• Technical background in mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with on‑site installation, configuration and maintenance of complex equipment.
• Strong customer‑facing attitude and ability to travel frequently across Germany and the EMEA region.
• Ability to deliver training and provide remote support.
• Analytical mindset for reporting and improving processes.
