Field Service Engineer (Servicetechniker) – Germany

About the role

We are looking for a German‑ and English‑speaking Field Service Engineer (Servicetechniker) to join an international technology company that designs advanced industrial manufacturing and precision production equipment. The position is home‑based in Germany (preferably near Frankfurt, Stuttgart or another well‑connected location) and involves regular travel across Germany, the DACH region and Europe to support customers on site.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain and repair complex industrial machinery at customer locations.
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical and electro‑mechanical faults.
• Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades and technical adjustments.
• Provide customer training and technical guidance during and after installations.
• Prepare service documentation, work reports and coordinate spare‑part logistics.
• Represent the company professionally while supporting customers across Germany and Europe.

Required profile

• Practical, hands‑on technical background with strong interest in field service.
• Experience as a Service Technician, Field Service Engineer, Maintenance or Installation Technician.
• Technical qualification (e.g., German apprenticeship/Ausbildung) in electronics, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automation or industrial maintenance.
• Fluency in German and good English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Germany, DACH and Europe.
