Field Technician – In-line Pipeline Inspection

About the role

We are seeking a Field Technician to join our in-line pipeline inspection team in Germany. The role combines hands-on field work with coordination of complex inspection projects for oil and gas infrastructure across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, complete and submit operational and technical field reports, including pigging and project-specific documentation.
• Coordinate equipment, tools and auxiliary systems to ensure readiness for field operations.
• Review and analyse project documentation, operational manuals and technical specifications.
• Execute in-line inspection (ILI) and pigging activities following QA/QC procedures, safety standards and project timelines.
• Conduct cleaning runs, site surveys and DGPS surveys according to operational requirements.
• Facilitate communication and coordination between internal teams, clients, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Ensure successful inspection runs with no data loss and compliance with industry standards.
• Support the Team Leader with additional operational tasks as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Field Technician or similar EPC/oil‑&‑gas field role.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Prior exposure to oil and gas industry, preferably with in-line inspection (ILI) operations.
• Strong understanding of field operations, pipeline systems and industrial safety procedures.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation, operational manuals and engineering procedures.
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lb and work in demanding field environments.
• Willingness to travel extensively, including international assignments, and work flexible hours.
