Finance Controller – Germany

About the role

Hexagon’s Geosystems Business Area is looking for a Finance Controller to own financial performance across Germany. You will partner with senior leadership, shape financial strategy, and ensure robust governance in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country’s financial strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
• Lead month‑end close, management reporting, and variance analysis.
• Provide actionable insights on pricing, margin, and cost optimization to drive profitability.
• Evaluate business cases, investments, and strategic opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax regulations, internal controls, and audit requirements.
• Oversee project accounting, revenue recognition (IFRS 15) and work‑in‑progress monitoring.
• Support digitalisation and continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
• Lead and develop the Finance team, fostering accountability and integrity.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; professional qualification a plus.
• Significant experience in controlling, FP&A or commercial finance within an international setting.
• Fluent in English and German (business level).
• Strong analytical ability, business acumen, and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.
