Financial Controller

About the role

PennAero is seeking a hands‑on Financial Controller to lead the accounting function for its TAG subsidiary in Buhl, Germany. The role combines day‑to‑day transaction processing with full‑cycle close, forecasting and cash‑flow management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual closes, preparing journal entries, reconciliations and accruals.
• Produce financial statements with clear commentary on material fluctuations.
• Maintain and update a rolling P&L forecast, net working capital and free cash‑flow models.
• Track weekly cash activity, monitor collections and payments, and flag liquidity or working‑capital risks.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with US and German GAAP, tax rules and company policies, and support external auditors.

Required profile

• Strong accounting background with experience in full‑cycle close and transaction processing.
• Proven ability to build and maintain forecasts, cash‑flow models and working‑capital reports.
• Knowledge of US GAAP and German GAAP, as well as relevant tax requirements.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies.
