Food Scientist – New Product Developer

About the role
We are looking for a Food Scientist who will lead the development of new whole‑cut fungi‑based vegan products at KULT FARM in Berlin. You will turn innovative mycelium technologies into market‑ready foods, supporting our mission to create sustainable, tasty alternatives.
Key responsibilities
- Research and develop new food technologies, focusing on texture, flavor and product building blocks.
- Take concepts from laboratory scale to commercial production, overseeing the full product lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely with mycologists and microbiologists to adapt fermentation processes.
- Support the creation of new processes, procedures and cross‑functional projects.
- Travel occasionally (1‑3 days, 1‑2 times per quarter) for testing and partnership meetings.
Required profile
- BSc or MSc in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline.
- 1‑2 years of experience in food product development, preferably in alternative protein or vegan solutions.
- Strong analytical mindset, critical thinking and effective time management.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
