Founding AI Engineer

About the role

We are building an AI co‑worker that augments the Projektsteuerer in complex construction projects. As a founding AI engineer you will shape the core technology that extracts, reasons about, and remembers critical project knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement multi‑agent harnesses for extracting and routing information from large construction documents such as tender specifications and protocol archives.
• Develop a compounding project‑memory graph that captures decisions, rationales, actors, alternatives and outcomes, and feeds this knowledge into future projects.
• Research and prototype context‑compression techniques for multi‑year projects, deciding what information to retain, forget or surface at decision points.

Required profile

• Product sense: translate user pain into measurable AI solutions and communicate with non‑technical construction stakeholders.
• Velocity and craft: prototype quickly, measure impact, iterate while ensuring reliability for high‑stakes construction use cases.
• Comfort with the unknown: read research papers, build prototypes, and evaluate novel approaches where no standard answers exist.
