Freelance Accountant (Workday Financials)

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing organisation based in Berlin, has recently gone live with Workday Financials and is looking for an experienced freelance accountant to support the transition to business‑as‑usual. The role is hands‑on, focusing on day‑to‑day financial operations within the new Workday Finance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day accounting support in Workday Financials.
• Process financial transactions and month‑end activities accurately.
• Assist users with system questions and troubleshoot Workday issues.
• Perform reconciliations and ensure data integrity across financial processes.
• Collaborate with internal finance teams to stabilise and optimise workflows.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes within Workday.
• Support reporting and ensure timely delivery of financial information.

Required profile

• Proven experience working with Workday Financials (essential).
• Strong background in accounting or finance operations.
• Experience in post‑implementation or go‑live support environments.
• Comfortable working in a freelance or interim capacity.
• Ability to work independently and integrate quickly into new teams.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills in an international business environment.
