Freelance Safety Physician – Remote (Biotech)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Safety Physician to join a leading international biotech company on a freelance basis. The role is primarily remote, with occasional on‑site visits in Munich, and will run for six months or longer. You will be responsible for driving safety excellence across drug development programs and ensuring compliance with global regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align safety activities.
• Maintain and improve safety Standard Operating Procedures, templates, and processes.
• Lead safety inspections and ensure inspection readiness.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to peers on safety‑related topics.
• Oversee safety vendors and ensure appropriate sponsor oversight.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor qualification.
• Proven experience as a Safety Physician in a biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
• Strong understanding of drug safety, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
