Global Functional Process Owner – Book-to-Report & Asset/Project Accounting

About the role

Surventis is establishing a dedicated accounting department for its Coatings business unit and seeks a Global Functional Process Owner to lead Book-to-Report, Asset, and Project Accounting. Based in Münster, you will shape finance processes from the ground up, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve global Book-to-Report, Asset, and Project Accounting processes, covering the full project accounting lifecycle and lease accounting under IFRS 16.
• Define and maintain global standards, ensuring compliance with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements across the coatings division.
• Identify automation and digitalization opportunities to increase efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
• Manage a third‑party business process provider, establishing performance KPIs and overseeing service delivery.
• Collaborate with Project Engineering, Purchase‑to‑Pay, and General Ledger teams to ensure holistic process integration.
• Engage internal stakeholders to align accounting processes with business needs and strategic initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in finance, accounting, business administration or a related field; CMA or CPA certification is a plus.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in financial process management, preferably in a global or multi‑site environment.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale finance transformations and managing external service providers.
• Strong understanding of IFRS 16 lease accounting and project accounting principles.
