Governance Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Governance Consultant to support SARD, a regional feminist oral‑history network, in designing and facilitating a participatory governance process. The consultant will work remotely from August to December 2026, guiding members through assessment, exploration, and collective decision‑making to shape the network’s future institutional form.

Key responsibilities

• Review SARD’s existing governance structures, host modality and decision‑making practices (Phase I).
• Map and present comparative governance models and case studies relevant to regional and transnational feminist networks (Phase II).
• Design and lead a series of participatory discussions and a two‑day in‑person workshop to foster collective reflection (Phase III).
• Synthesize findings into a governance roadmap outlining institutional pathways, transition phases, milestones and priority actions (Phase IV).

Required profile

• Experience facilitating participatory processes within civil‑society or feminist organisations.
• Strong analytical skills to assess governance arrangements and identify gaps.
• Ability to work remotely and coordinate online meetings and a short in‑person workshop.
