Head of Finance

About the role

bunch is building the operating infrastructure for private markets and needs a Head of Finance to lead and scale its finance function as it moves from Series B to Series C and beyond. You will work directly with the founders and management team, owning budgeting, forecasting, investor reporting, M&A finance and ERP implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full budgeting cycle end‑to‑end, run monthly variance reviews and drive quarterly budget control processes.
• Build and maintain a cash‑forecasting model, provide regular burn‑rate updates and manage liquidity optimisation.
• Prepare board‑level financial updates, present performance to investors and handle equity‑round finance.
• Lead financial due diligence for acquisitions, build M&A models and oversee post‑merger integration.
• Manage banking relationships across Germany and Europe, establish treasury policies and implement an ERP system group‑wide.
• Lead and develop the finance team, driving process optimisation, automation and high‑performance standards.

Required profile

• 5+ years progressive experience in an in‑house finance role (SaaS or VC‑backed), PE, consultancy or investment banking.
• Proven track record building robust financial models for multi‑entity, multi‑currency organisations.
• Hands‑on experience owning forecasting and budgeting cycles, not just supporting them.
• Strong communication skills, able to translate complex data into clear narratives for non‑finance stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German (B2/C1) strongly preferred.
