Head of Global Integration Platforms

About the role

BERNER Group is modernising its entire IT landscape and needs a visionary leader to build a global, hybrid integration layer. As Head of Global Integration Platforms you will design and govern a scalable architecture based on Workato and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) that supports the company’s European operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a group‑wide integration layer using Workato and SAP BTP.
• Own architecture design, governance, security and day‑to‑day platform operations.
• Create a reusable integration framework (recipes, APIs, events, patterns).
• Provide technical leadership to a growing integration team.
• Identify automation and integration opportunities across the organisation.
• Develop and maintain the technical roadmap for both platforms.
• Collaborate with SAP and non‑SAP domains, Enterprise Architecture and business units.

Required profile

• 5+ years of integration experience, preferably with iPaaS and event‑driven architectures.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, webhooks, OData and interface standards.
• Experience with enterprise systems such as SAP, CRM solutions and ServiceNow.
• Proven leadership skills, including coaching and architectural ownership.

Required skills

• Workato (or willingness to learn).
• SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP Integration Suite/CPI.
• API design, OAuth2, JWT, certificates, encryption.
• iPaaS, event‑driven architecture.
• DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, API management.
