Head of HR - PLAION Partners Germany

About the role

PLAION Partners, a global distribution partner for gaming hardware, accessories, video games and entertainment products, is looking for a Head of HR for its Germany office in Munich/Planegg. This full-time hybrid role covers the employee journey from recruitment and onboarding to development and departure, combining strategic people leadership with day-to-day HR operations. It works closely with HR colleagues across countries, the Director of Global Performance and Execution and the Director of Culture and Engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Germany HR function, set priorities and oversee people administration, HR KPI reporting and the digitalisation of HR processes
• Coordinate payroll with the external provider and oversee local benefits administration
• Advise Managing Directors and team leaders on people management, German employment law and HR compliance, and support employee relations matters
• Oversee recruitment for the Munich office, build a talent pool and coordinate relocation support for international hires
• Ensure a consistent onboarding and offboarding experience, and support performance conversations and people development
• Partner with the Director of Culture and Engagement on employee listening, engagement, inclusion and employer branding
• Coordinate local workplace health, safety and well-being programmes and appoint the workplace safety role

Required profile

• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven operational and strategic HR experience, including leading an HR team or function
• Strong knowledge of German employment law and local HR practices
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
• Experience improving HR processes and using digital tools and data
