Head of Mission Delivery and Operations

About the role

Stark is seeking a Head of Mission Delivery and Operations to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of its autonomous defence software. Based in Berlin, you will bridge cutting‑edge code with high‑stakes customer environments, shaping the processes, teams and technical framework that turn bespoke integrations into repeatable, scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own the “Stark Way” – a modular delivery framework that converts custom customer requirements into a standardized deployment engine.
• Build and lead a cross‑functional delivery organization, hiring talent, defining processes and ensuring flawless execution of mission‑critical projects.
• Oversee the full delivery lifecycle, from technical project management to mission enablement and customer solutions engineering.
• Collaborate closely with R&D, command‑and‑control and autonomy teams to align software releases with operational needs.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into clear, actionable plans and maintain alignment across all stakeholder levels.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading large‑scale technical delivery or operations functions in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment.
• Strong systems thinking with a track record of building efficient, repeatable delivery processes.
• Ability to thrive in chaotic, high‑pressure situations while maintaining calm, purposeful leadership.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and keeping teams aligned under critical deadlines.
