Head of PR & Strategic Communications

About the role

We are partnering with an early‑stage, venture‑backed AI and robotics company in Munich that is entering its next growth phase. The Head of PR & Strategic Communications will lead external communications, shape the company’s narrative and build its reputation with journalists, analysts, investors and future talent.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy covering PR, corporate messaging and executive positioning.
• Build and nurture relationships with journalists, editors, analysts and other influential media contacts in AI, robotics and deep‑tech.
• Partner with senior leadership to create thought‑leadership content, secure media opportunities and raise executive visibility.
• Lead communications around major milestones such as funding rounds, strategic partnerships, product launches and international expansion.
• Monitor industry trends, competitor activity and media coverage to refine messaging and positioning.
• Create a long‑term communications roadmap aligned with business objectives and growth plans.
• Build and manage the communications function, including hiring and developing future team members.
• Oversee brand, content and marketing initiatives to ensure consistency with the overall communications strategy.

Required profile

• Around 10 + years of experience in communications, public relations or corporate affairs, with a strong focus on media engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to secure high‑profile media coverage for innovative technology businesses.
• Proven experience advising senior executives on communications strategy, reputation management and public positioning.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment where discretion and adaptability are essential.
• Excellent strategic thinking combined with strong execution and project‑management skills.
