Head of Supply Chain & Strategic Partnerships

About the role

Exergy3 is seeking a senior leader to design and build its supply chain as the company moves from prototype manufacturing to commercial scale. Based in either Edinburgh or Munich, you will shape the end‑to‑end sourcing, manufacturing and delivery processes for a high‑temperature thermal energy storage system that decarbonises industrial heat.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and own Exergy3’s complete supply chain strategy, from raw‑material sourcing to customer site delivery.
• Build a scalable ecosystem of suppliers and contract manufacturers capable of supporting first‑of‑a‑kind (FOAK) and subsequent (NOAK) production runs.
• Define sourcing strategies for critical components such as heating elements, refractory systems, pressure vessels, electrical infrastructure and control systems.
• Collaborate closely with the Technical Director, Project Delivery team and Commercial team to ensure manufacturability, cost‑effectiveness and on‑time delivery.
• Report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer and contribute to the Commercial operational leadership team.

Required profile

• Proven experience building supply chain functions from the ground up in an industrial or cleantech environment.
• Strong commercial and operational leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Track record of establishing successful manufacturing partnerships and scaling production.
• Ability to work autonomously and shape organisational culture during rapid growth.
