About the role

The IDMC Data Adviser will lead the global internal displacement monitoring programme, ensuring the production of high‑quality data and analysis that inform humanitarian action and policy. This strategic position combines leadership, technical oversight, and partnership engagement to deliver trusted evidence on displacement caused by conflict, violence, and disasters.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive monitoring strategy and annual work plans.
Oversee the production of global, regional, and country‑level displacement data and flagship estimates.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of data specialists.
Foster collaboration across IDMC, NRC, and external partners.
Engage with key stakeholders to shape and deliver a robust global monitoring framework.

Required profile

Proven experience in data management and analysis within humanitarian or displacement contexts.
Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities.
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable evidence.
Excellent collaboration and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
