International Consultant – Environment and Health Governance for EHP

About the role

The WHO European Centre for Environment and Health (WHO ECEH) seeks an external consultant to support the European Environment and Health Process (EHP) Partnerships. Over a four‑month part‑time assignment, the consultant will provide Secretariat services, enhance visibility, and help translate the Budapest Declaration commitments into concrete actions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate technical and communication activities across the six EHP Partnerships.
• Revise and update the template questionnaire used to capture progress, achievements, challenges, priorities, and planned activities.
• Engage with lead countries and WHO technical focal points to collect, validate, and consolidate partnership inputs.
• Prepare a comprehensive overview report for the upcoming EHTF meeting in Dublin (24‑26 Nov 2026).
• Support the promotion of partnership work to strengthen implementation of the Budapest commitments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in environment and health governance, preferably within intergovernmental or multilateral settings.
• Familiarity with WHO processes and the European Environment and Health Process.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with multiple country leads and technical experts.
