Internship in Granulation and Film Technology

About the role

This five- to six-month internship in the Coating & Film Processing unit offers hands‑on experience in developing formulations and coating processes for advanced technologies such as lithium‑ion batteries and CO2 capture.

Key responsibilities

• Support laboratory teams in developing new formulations using mixing and dispersion methods.
• Plan and conduct coating trials with novel materials and analyse results.
• Apply analytical techniques such as rheology, microscopy and image analysis.
• Assist in electrochemical characterisation and use simulation tools or develop custom evaluation routines.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in process, chemical, mechanical engineering, polymer or colloid chemistry, or a comparable field.
• Strong academic record and practical laboratory experience.
• Good communication skills and a strong team spirit.

Required skills

• Knowledge of heat and mass transfer, particle technology, formulation or drying technology.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Basic knowledge of Python.
• Experience with rheology, microscopy and image analysis.
