Internship Risk Management & Internal Controls (m/f/d)

About the role

BASF Agricultural Solutions is looking for an intern to join its global Risk Management & Internal Controls team. In a collaborative environment, you will help strengthen and continuously develop the risk and internal controls framework, supporting risk assessments, structured risk documentation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support risk assessments, structured risk documentation and reporting, contributing to transparent and reliable governance processes.
• Help develop and maintain the Risk Management System and Internal Control System, and improve Risk Control Matrices and related control documentation.
• Research and analyse topics on risk management, internal controls and good practices, making relevant insights accessible to stakeholders.
• Prepare presentations, reports, training and communication materials, and support workshops, training sessions and awareness initiatives.
• Explore how digital technologies, data analytics and AI applications can support governance and control processes, and help foster a responsible use of AI in daily collaboration.

Required profile

• Ongoing bachelor's or master's studies, ideally in business administration, economics, finance, business information systems or a related field, with good academic performance.
• Ideally some initial practical experience from internships, student employment or international experience; other relevant experience is also welcome.
• Interest in risk management, internal controls and finance, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
• Good German and English, and confidence with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Structured, proactive and collaborative approach, open to using AI and new digital tools.
