Intern/Working Student for PVD Display Engineering

About the role

Join Applied Materials' Display business unit in Alzenau as an Intern/Working Student focused on Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) display engineering. You will support test preparation, execution, and analysis in a high‑tech environment, gaining hands‑on experience with production equipment and development projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and plan tests, including internet research and material procurement.
• Conduct tests independently, evaluate results, and present findings in internal design reviews.
• Set up and design test rigs for equipment qualification.
• Collaborate with Engineering, CAE, and Process Engineering teams.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
• Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components and test methodology.
• Initial practical and/or international experience is a plus.
• Strong interest in testing and qualifying concepts in a technical environment.
• Structured, independent working style with analytical skills and ability to work in a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office and good German and English language skills.
