IT Operations Engineer – Berlin

About the role

You will own end‑to‑end IT operations for YouLend’s Berlin office, turning day‑to‑day support into proactive service improvements. As a trusted technical partner, you will resolve issues independently, shape local IT strategy, and help scale the function as the company expands across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full ticket lifecycle for the Berlin office, enforce SLAs and maintain high service quality with minimal escalation.
• Administer Microsoft 365 – user provisioning, licence management, security policies, Entra ID/Active Directory.
• Lead device management for Windows 11, macOS and iOS, including MDM, imaging, patching and hardware lifecycle.
• Own the joiners, movers and leavers process, ensuring seamless onboarding/offboarding and compliance.
• Maintain office infrastructure – networking, A/V, meeting‑room tech and vendor relationships.
• Create and keep an internal knowledge base with runbooks and self‑service resources.
• Track IT metrics, identify trends and advise the Head of IT on service improvements.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in IT support or operations, preferably in a scale‑up or fintech environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to work independently and within a distributed team.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange, Intune).
• Windows 11, macOS and iOS troubleshooting.
• ITSM tools such as SolarWinds.
• MDM platforms (Intune, Jamf or similar).
• Teams, Zoom, Atlassian and LastPass administration.
• A/V and video‑conferencing management.
• Fundamental networking knowledge.
