IT Security Generalist

About the role

This senior, hands‑on position is responsible for end‑to‑end IT security in a company where security is treated as a core business function. You will work on high‑impact systems, influencing major projects from the start and ensuring that security is built‑in rather than added later.

Key responsibilities

• Advise IT and infrastructure projects on integrating security requirements from the ground up.
• Test and evaluate IT, cloud, network and OT systems against defined security standards.
• Design, coordinate and develop technical security measures and architectures.
• Perform third‑level analysis within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
• Analyse security incidents, coordinate response and drive sustainable remediation.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the central IT security architecture and standards.

Required profile

• Completed IT training or a degree in information technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in IT security, preferably in critical infrastructure or OT environments.
• Strong knowledge of XDR systems, network and cloud security, identity and access management, and overall IT infrastructure.
• Fluent German and English.
