IT Security Specialist Europe (m/f/d)

About the role

We are looking for an IT Security Specialist to join our Global IT Operations team in Hallbergmoos and support our European locations. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the security posture across a manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and continuously improve vulnerability management across European sites.
• Operate security and automation tools to identify, prioritize, track, and remediate vulnerabilities.
• Plan and coordinate security‑related changes and maintenance with internal business partners.
• Perform preventive maintenance, monitor IT systems and resolve or escalate issues.
• Implement and troubleshoot security changes on Windows clients and servers.
• Ensure corporate IT security standards, processes and policies are applied locally.
• Collaborate with global and local IT teams and business stakeholders to reduce risks.
• Manage related projects, documentation and stakeholder communication.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven experience in IT security, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Good English communication skills; German is a plus.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% across Europe.

Required skills

• Strong hands‑on knowledge of Windows environments.
• Experience with enterprise anti‑virus and endpoint security solutions.
• Knowledge of networks, servers and patch/vulnerability management.
• Experience with software deployment, Windows PC backup and automation tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL Service Management and project management.
