IT Service Technician – 24/7 Support (f/m/d)

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated IT Service Technician to join our Munich Data Center operations. You will take full ownership of on‑site infrastructure, ensuring high availability of power, cooling and server systems while providing 1st and 2nd level support.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, qualify and process IT incidents and service requests via ticket system, phone or front desk.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware (servers, network devices) and software (Linux) issues.
• Monitor server and network infrastructure, including power supply, air conditioning and security systems.
• Install and configure network components and Linux servers (Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, CentOS).
• Perform maintenance, migrations and upgrades of hardware and software.
• Maintain accurate asset inventory.

Required profile

• Willingness to work in shifts and on‑site near the server landscape.
• Strong service orientation, patience with users and a collaborative mindset.
• Physical ability to handle hardware setups.
• Structured, independent way of working.

Required skills

• Extensive knowledge of Linux environments (Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux, CentOS).
• Experience with server hardware and network devices.
• Ability to monitor and manage power and cooling systems.
• Asset management and inventory control.
