IT Support Technician

About the role

NexusTech is looking for an IT Support Technician to provide on‑site and remote assistance to small businesses and residential clients. You will diagnose and resolve hardware, software and network issues while delivering excellent customer service. The role is ideal for students or part‑time professionals who want hands‑on experience in a technical support environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair PCs, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Configure, install and maintain LAN and WLAN networks.
• Perform software updates, installations and data backup procedures for clients.
• Document service tickets accurately and keep clients informed throughout the resolution process.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and, when required, travel to client sites for on‑site support.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in a technical study program or equivalent hands‑on experience.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple service requests.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows operating systems.
• Knowledge of Linux distributions.
• Familiarity with macOS.
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting LAN/WLAN networks.
• Hardware repair skills for PCs and printers.
• Software update and data backup procedures.
