IT Systems Administrator – Retail IT

About the role

We are seeking an IT Systems Administrator to join Hermès Germany’s retail IT team. You will ensure the reliability and continuous improvement of our IT landscape across boutiques and corporate offices, supporting both day‑to‑day operations and strategic retail projects.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and continuously develop IT systems, network infrastructure, and client/server environments (Cisco, Windows, Office 365, SharePoint).
• Support retail project implementations and coordinate external service providers while maintaining high quality standards.
• Manage and maintain security systems, including CCTV, safes, and access‑control solutions.
• Provide support and maintenance for payment systems and the CEGID Retail merchandise management platform.
• Act as point of contact for service management, handling first‑ and second‑level support requests from employees.
• Oversee user lifecycle management and administer end‑user devices (Asana, Jamf).
• Ensure compliance with Hermès Group security and data‑protection policies.
• Plan disaster recovery, manage backups, and execute data restoration procedures.
• Work on‑site in boutiques as required, offering flexibility and travel.

Required profile

• Degree in IT or a comparable qualification.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in system administration.
• Analytical, solution‑oriented mindset with strong business acumen and high service orientation.
• Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel and flexibility to work on‑site.
• Passion for the retail environment.
