Junior Buyer – Procurement (Eschborn, Germany)

About the role

Join Samsung's Europe International Procurement Centre as a Junior Buyer, supporting the sourcing and purchasing of components for smartphones, TVs, home appliances and other consumer‑electronics products. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in supplier management, contract negotiation and supply‑chain risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue RFQs and purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Review supplier quotations, create sales offers for internal customers, and maintain accurate purchasing data.
• Develop and sustain relationships with external suppliers and forwarders, ensuring compliance with quality, price and delivery requirements.
• Negotiate prices and contracts on behalf of internal stakeholders.
• Support customs clearance by preparing invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin and other documentation.
• Monitor supply‑chain KPIs such as on‑time delivery, RTP and RFQ performance.
• Identify and mitigate supply risks by establishing alternative logistics routes.
• Investigate overdue AR collections in collaboration with Finance.
• Conduct market research, analyse trends and produce weekly intelligence reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, Engineering or another STEM discipline from a reputable university.
• Limited professional experience (up to 1 year) with strong internship background.
• Professional fluency in Korean and English, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commercially astute, tech‑savvy and up‑to‑date on consumer‑electronics market trends.
• Solid understanding of technical concepts related to electronic components.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
