Junior IT Service Desk Administrator

About the role

Horizonia is seeking a Junior IT Service Desk Administrator to join its on‑site team in Hallbergmoos. You will be the first point of contact for users, handling IT inquiries and incidents in a security‑critical, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support as the single contact for user IT requests and incident reports.
• Register, qualify, document and monitor tickets in the ITSM tool while respecting SLA commitments.
• Perform initial analysis and resolve issues directly when possible, escalating to higher‑level teams as needed.
• Support CMDB data quality and create/maintain knowledge‑base articles.
• Assist with hardware issuance, equipment exchanges, returns and accurate asset documentation.

Required profile

• Completed IT vocational training or comparable technical qualification (e.g., Fachinformatiker).
• Entry‑level to junior experience with hands‑on IT support or service‑desk work.
• Fluent English and native‑level German (C2).
• 100 % on‑site availability in Hallbergmoos; no remote option.
• Willingness to undergo standard security clearance.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Windows client operating systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and basic networking concepts.
• Ability to troubleshoot and document technical issues in a structured manner.
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools and CMDB concepts (nice‑to‑have).
• Knowledge of ITIL processes or willingness to obtain ITIL Foundation certification (nice‑to‑have).
