Junior Master Data Specialist (Hybrid, Germany)

About the role

As a Junior Specialist in Master Data within BASF's Regional Treasury EMEA, you will support the Bank team by validating and maintaining customer and supplier master data. You will create and manage business partner hierarchies in SAP S/4HANA, ensuring data completeness, consistency and compliance with fraud‑prevention standards.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and update customer and supplier master data in SAP S/4HANA.
• Create and maintain business partner hierarchies and related records.
• Verify data accuracy using multiple internal and external sources.
• Transfer knowledge to colleagues and keep the internal knowledge database up to date.
• Prepare regular reports and analyses for Credit Risk Managers and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with various units across the BASF Group.

Required profile

• Commercial vocational training or a degree, preferably with first experience in master data management.
• Basic understanding of accounting or business administration concepts.
• Confident use of Microsoft Office applications.
• First experience with SAP S/4HANA is advantageous.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and high customer orientation.
• Fluent communication in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
