Junior Professorship in Entrepreneurship & Transformation

About the role

HHL seeks a Junior Professor to lead teaching and research at the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategy and organisational change. The position combines graduate‑level instruction with a strong focus on research that bridges theory and practice.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver courses for Master, MBA and Executive Education programmes covering entrepreneurship, strategic management and transformation.
• Develop and implement research‑induced teaching methods that integrate multiple pedagogical approaches.
• Build and coordinate entrepreneurship‑related transfer projects within HHL’s Entrepreneurship Cluster.
• Lead externally funded projects, including fundraising and collaboration with public, private and third‑party research partners.
• Maintain and expand networks with regional, national and international entrepreneurial ecosystems and academic centres.

Required profile

• Proven international teaching excellence at graduate level, preferably in English, within a leading European or international business school.
• Early‑stage research record with publications in high‑quality international journals on topics such as entrepreneurial decision‑making, strategic entrepreneurship, business model innovation or strategic transformation.
• Experience managing entrepreneurship programmes, incubation or venture support activities, and a track‑record of collaborations with research institutions and external partners.
• Practical experience in entrepreneurship, consulting or innovation leadership in Germany is advantageous.
