Junior Specialist Master Data – Hybrid (m/f/d)

About the role

As a Junior Specialist in Master Data within BASF’s Regional Treasury EMEA, you will support the Bank team by ensuring the accuracy and completeness of customer and supplier master data. Working in a hybrid setting, you will help maintain business partner hierarchies in SAP S/4HANA and contribute to fraud‑prevention processes.

Key responsibilities

• Validate and update customer and supplier master data in SAP S/4HANA.
• Create and maintain business partner hierarchies, ensuring compliance with internal fraud‑prevention requirements.
• Verify data using multiple sources and resolve inconsistencies.
• Transfer knowledge to colleagues and keep the master‑data knowledge base up to date.
• Prepare regular reports and analyses for Credit Risk Managers and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with various units across the BASF Group.

Required profile

• Commercial vocational training or studies, preferably with first experience in master‑data management.
• Basic understanding of accounting or business administration related to legal forms and management.
• Confident use of MS Office and introductory experience with SAP S/4HANA.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and high customer orientation.
• Fluent communication in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
