Junior Specialist Treasury - Back Office (Hybrid)

About the role

BASF Services Europe GmbH, a global service hub in Berlin supporting BASF's divisions across Europe, is hiring a Junior Specialist Treasury - Back Office (m/f/d) in its Treasury & Master Data unit. The unit covers the Treasury and Cash Management activities of BASF entities in the EMEA region, and the back office team offers a chance to learn corporate finance in an international setting.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure proper accounting and reconciliation of derivatives, securities and short- and long-term financing, clarifying differences with group internal stakeholders and banks
• Carry out counter confirmations and maintain business partners for financial transactions in the SAP Treasury Management System (TRM)
• Contribute to compliance with reporting regulations such as EMIR
• Act as global Netting Center, managing and administering intercompany netting processes
• Cooperate with Treasury and Accounting teams and auditors

Required profile

• Commercial business training or a degree in Business Administration
• First knowledge of Cash Management, Treasury and/or Corporate Finance
• Analytical skills and interest in, and experience with, technical and practical business process optimization in SAP FI/TRM and MS Office
• Fluent English; further languages are a plus
• Organized, self-reliant, open-minded and confident communicator

What we offer

• Gross annual salary of 35,000 to 39,000 EUR full-time, depending on qualifications and experience, plus a performance bonus
