Junior Supplier Quality Engineer – Semiconductor Industry

About the role

As a Junior Supplier Quality Engineer, you will drive supplier performance, lead qualification activities, resolve quality issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Selection, qualification, and auditing of new and existing suppliers.
• Support in validating suppliers’ series production capabilities, including statistical process control and test method implementation.
• Ensuring reliable capacity and infrastructure for high‑volume production at the supplier.
• Participation in operational and strategic procurement projects such as dual sourcing and capacity projects.
• Execution and technical leadership of product qualification for critical modules.
• Integration into the NPI development process in close collaboration with engineering.
• Support of supplier quality control management to continuously improve product standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field.
• 1‑2 years of professional experience, preferably in special‑purpose machinery or equipment manufacturing.
• Experience with supplier management and qualification.
• Knowledge of manufacturing engineering practices, techniques, and methodologies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication skills in German and English.
