About the role

Amazon is seeking a Competition Lawyer to join its EU Competition team in Germany. The role involves providing legal advice on EU and German competition matters, shaping strategy, and collaborating with business and public policy teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive regulatory competition matters at EU level and in Germany, working closely with local legal teams.
• Advise Amazon businesses and legal colleagues on competition-related issues across all units.
• Help shape long‑term strategy on high‑impact and novel competition topics.
• Partner with the public policy team and engage regulators and policy makers.
• Contribute to the development of training, compliance mechanisms, and cross‑functional coordination.

Required profile

• Fully qualified lawyer with strong academic and legal credentials.
• Demonstrated experience managing competition‑related regulatory matters in the EU and Germany.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
• Proven ability to advise senior executives and work collaboratively across functions.

Required skills
