Legal Counsel – eCommerce Product (Munich/London)

About the role

TikTok is looking for an experienced lawyer to join its Global eCommerce Legal Business Partner team. The role will support the company’s expanding eCommerce operations across the UK and EU, focusing on compliance with the Digital Services Act, Digital Markets Act, GDPR and related national regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal contact for EU and UK business units, working directly with product, engineering and commercial teams.
• Collaborate with regulatory, privacy, IP and competition lawyers to provide unified advice.
• Deliver clear, actionable legal guidance that balances risk with rapid business growth.
• Lead legal reviews of product features, algorithms and data‑usage practices under EU and national law.
• Partner with public policy teams to identify and mitigate legal risks for high‑impact projects.
• Maintain and localise online terms and conditions across EU markets.
• Improve legal processes, templates and internal training to boost efficiency.

Required profile

• Senior lawyer qualified in Germany, France or Poland.
• Strong experience with EU legislation and national laws, especially in consumer protection, privacy, antitrust or IP.
• Proven drafting and negotiation skills in retail, digital content or advertising agreements.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of DSA, DMA, GDPR and related directives.
• Expertise in EU consumer protection, privacy, competition or intellectual property law.
• Strong legal drafting and negotiation capabilities.
