Legal Counsel – Europe (Fintech)

About the role

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join a fast‑scaling global fintech organization. Based in Germany, you will work at the intersection of law, financial‑services regulation, and innovative product development, supporting both institutional and retail offerings across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice on regulatory, commercial, and operational matters to internal stakeholders.
• Support design and rollout of new financial products, including cross‑border activities and regulatory considerations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate customer agreements, disclosures, account documentation, and website legal content.
• Manage and negotiate commercial agreements with institutional clients, partners, and counterparties.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries and interactions with UK, EU, and global financial regulators and exchanges.
• Collaborate with external counsel when specialized expertise is required.
• Assess and mitigate legal risk across business initiatives and product developments.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer (solicitor or barrister) with 3‑5+ years of experience in financial services, fintech, law firms, or regulatory environments.
• Strong academic background and excellent legal analysis and reasoning capabilities.
• Proven ability to interpret and simplify complex legal and regulatory concepts.
• Experience working in fast‑paced, cross‑functional, globally distributed teams.
• Eligible to work in Europe or the UK without sponsorship (preferred).
