Legal Counsel

About the role

Reporting to the COO, the Legal Counsel will own all legal matters for the company, from commercial contracts to intellectual property, data‑privacy compliance and post‑acquisition governance. This senior individual‑contributor role combines hands‑on legal work with the design of processes that keep legal support efficient and scalable.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for all internal legal requests and triage matters between in‑house handling and external counsel.
• Lead the legal workstream arising from the recent SAP acquisition, including corporate structure, IP ownership, governance documentation and ongoing relationships with the parent company.
• Own end‑to‑end commercial contracting, from drafting and negotiation to execution and post‑signing management.
• Develop and maintain legal systems and templates to prevent bottlenecks and ensure compliance across the organization.
• Manage and coordinate specialist external counsel for specialized matters such as litigation, tax or regulatory issues.

Required profile

• Law degree and admission to practice in a relevant jurisdiction.
• Several years of experience handling commercial contracts, IP, data‑privacy (e.g., GDPR) and M&A in a technology‑focused environment.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and build scalable legal processes.
• Experience managing external law firms and coordinating multi‑disciplinary legal projects.
