Legal Research Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role

Cardmarket is looking for a part‑time Legal Research Assistant to support its Legal Department. The role focuses on conducting thorough legal research in German, EU, and international law to help the company stay compliant and make informed decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive legal research on German, EU, and relevant international legislation.
• Analyse and summarise legal developments, case law, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare legal memoranda and assessments for internal stakeholders.
• Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating internal policies, guidelines, and templates.
• Support compliance projects, including implementation of new regulations such as consumer protection, e‑commerce, and data protection.
• Monitor legislative changes and help the legal team adapt to new requirements.
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer support teams on regulatory topics.
• Help handle individual legal inquiries and cases under supervision.

Required profile

• Ongoing or completed studies in law (LL.B., LL.M., First or Second State Examination) or a comparable field.
• Ability to summarise complex legal matters clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical skills and structured research approach.
• Interest in business‑oriented legal work.
• Excellent written and spoken German and English.
• Presence in Berlin is required.
