Local IT Technician – On-site Support

About the role

As a Local IT Technician at Ubisoft's Mainz studio, you will ensure that employees have reliable technology to create memorable gaming experiences. You will provide both on‑site and remote assistance, maintaining a smooth IT environment for the development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Offer on‑site and remote support to end users within the Mainz site.
• Manage incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain local infrastructure, including servers and network equipment, as needed.
• Apply security best practices and company policies.
• Provision and maintain employee workstations, laptops, smartphones, and related peripherals.
• Coordinate with external vendors for support and repairs.
• Support events, meetings, and equipment moves.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and update documentation.

Required profile

• Relevant education in Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of technical support experience for workstations, laptops and smartphones.
• Strong customer service mindset and good English communication skills.
• Team spirit, good listening and organizational abilities.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows operating systems and Office suite.
• Active Directory and SCCM.
• Fundamental networking and cabling knowledge.
• Linux basics (nice to have).
• Scripting with batch files and PowerShell.
• macOS and multimedia equipment familiarity.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA or MCP (nice to have).
