Logistics Manager – Temperature‑Controlled Shipments

About the role

The Logistics Manager will oversee temperature‑controlled transport operations, ensuring service quality and regulatory compliance. Based in the Frankfurt area, the role will also support the establishment and structuring of CRYOPDP’s local operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and verify export/import documentation, customs invoices, AWB/HAWB for temperature‑sensitive shipments.
• Monitor real‑time temperature conditions during transit and act on any deviations.
• Ensure compliance with GDP, industry standards, and local regulations for cold‑chain products.
• Select and manage appropriate temperature‑controlled containers (refrigerated containers, cool boxes) for each shipment.
• Coordinate with airlines, handling agents, customs brokers, and other logistics service providers.
• Maintain proactive communication with customers, providing status updates and handling incident escalations.
• Initiate contingency plans for temperature excursions and drive corrective actions.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance handling, packaging, and transportation efficiency.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing temperature‑controlled logistics, preferably in the pharmaceutical or life‑sciences sector.
• Strong knowledge of GDP, customs procedures, and air‑freight regulations.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams, including operations and quality.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude toward incident management.
