Maintenance Technician – Germany (Airbus Projects)

About the role

Orbital Critical Systems (CAF Group) is seeking Maintenance Technicians / Facility Maintenance Engineers to join on‑site teams across Germany, supporting strategic Airbus projects. You will work in a multicultural, inclusive environment, ensuring the reliability and safety of industrial facilities and infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate maintenance activities for industrial facilities and infrastructure.
• Supervise external service providers such as crane, elevator, and technical installation contractors.
• Prepare and execute maintenance, inspection, and test plans.
• Handle supplier management, quotations, technical clarifications, and invoice control.
• Support maintenance planning and controlling processes while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and legal requirements.
• Coordinate expert inspections and audits of technical systems.
• Monitor KPIs related to maintenance performance and plant reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance and operational processes.

Required profile

• Degree or technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related field.
• Experience in maintenance, facilities, or industrial plant environments.
• Experience working with external suppliers and contractors.
• Knowledge of maintenance planning, inspections and technical documentation.
• Basic experience with SAP or similar systems is a plus.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills; project coordination experience is valuable.
• C1 English level – mandatory; German (B1–C1) is a strong plus.
• Citizenship of a European country.
