Managing Director, Data & AI (DACH Market)

About the role

Unit8 is seeking a Managing Director to lead its Data & AI practice across the DACH region. You will be responsible for originating high‑value client relationships, shaping complex engagements, and ensuring delivery creates measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Build and convert a pipeline of high‑value opportunities in pharma, insurance, and chemicals within the DACH market.
• Leverage your network to source, shape, and close new logos, not just expansions.
• Translate complex business problems into concrete Data & AI solutions and hold delivery teams accountable for value creation.
• Bridge senior data scientists and C‑suite stakeholders, translating technical constraints into strategic decisions.
• Maintain a strong presence during delivery to set pace, challenge assumptions, and keep teams focused on business outcomes.
• Raise delivery standards by defining what good looks like and holding teams to that bar.

Required profile

• Extensive network and proven track record in the DACH market, especially in pharma, insurance, or chemicals.
• Demonstrated ability to combine commercial impact with technical credibility.
• Comfortable operating with autonomy in an expert‑led environment.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with both technical and executive audiences.
