Manufacturing Engineer

About the role

The Manufacturing Engineer will bridge product design and production, ensuring that new AI‑driven defence systems can be manufactured efficiently, cost‑effectively and at scale. Working closely with design engineers from concept through to launch, you will define manufacturability strategies, optimise process flows and support the rollout of new production lines.

Key responsibilities

• Define, design and implement manufacturing processes for new product introductions and major design changes.
• Collaborate with design teams to provide DFM/DFA feedback early in the development cycle.
• Analyse capacity, set optimal cycle times (takt), perform line balancing and identify bottlenecks.
• Specify, procure and qualify tools, fixtures, jigs and automation equipment.
• Develop manufacturing plans, oversee pilot runs and manage ramp‑up to full production.
• Create and maintain process control plans, conduct IQ/OQ/PQ validation and statistical capability studies (CpK, PpK).
• Produce detailed work instructions, process flow diagrams and routings.

Required profile

• Strong engineering background with experience in manufacturing process development.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with design and production teams.
• Analytical mindset for capacity planning and bottleneck mitigation.
• Excellent documentation and validation skills.
