Marketing Budget Analyst – Fixed-Term (2 years)

About the role

As a Marketing Budget Analyst you will act as the bridge between the marketing leadership and finance teams, ensuring that marketing spend is accurately tracked, reported and aligned with budget expectations. The role is a two‑year fixed‑term position based in Munich.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and monitor all marketing costs, allocating expenses to the correct cost centres.
• Collaborate with finance to resolve discrepancies and streamline budgeting processes.
• Develop and maintain cost dashboards – preferably using Streamlit – to provide self‑service visibility into spending and budget performance.
• Write and execute SQL queries to extract, validate and investigate cost data.
• Support the Marketing Leadership team in interpreting financial data for decision‑making.
• Assist the Marketing Analytics team with task management, scrum procedures and the implementation of AI‑driven automation where appropriate.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in controlling or budget analysis within a marketing environment.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and a willingness to build or maintain dashboards.
• Solid understanding of finance concepts such as depreciation, amortisation and accruals.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Critical and curious mindset – you question numbers and dig into root causes.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
