Mechanical Quality Control Inspector

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Quality Control Inspector to join our project team in Saarland, Germany. You will ensure that tanks, pipelines, and mechanical systems are built to the highest standards on site.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect tanks, pipes, fittings, valves, pumps and compressors during assembly.
• Control production of steel and welded structures such as pipelines, pipe bridges and hall frameworks.
• Monitor functional and performance tests, pressure tests, visual inspections, component measurements, weld‑seam inspections and coating processes.

Required profile

• Engineering studies (mechanical, civil or related) or a qualified technician/master craftsman.
• Professional experience in quality assurance within the metalworking industry.
• Willingness to travel, a valid driver’s licence and fluency in German and English.

Required skills

• Inspection of mechanical components and systems.
• Pressure testing and visual inspection techniques.
• Component measurement and weld‑seam inspection.
• Coating process monitoring.
• Knowledge of pipe construction, plant engineering, lifting equipment, materials engineering and non‑destructive testing.
• Additional qualifications in welding technology (SFI, IWT, SFM) or corrosion protection (FROSIO, ZTV‑ING).
