Operational Buyer

About the role

The Operational Buyer will support procurement activities for wind farm operations, ensuring that materials and services are sourced timely, cost‑effectively, and in compliance with company standards. The role works closely with Operations, Engineering, Warehousing, and Finance to keep assets running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end procurement processes including RFQs, bid evaluations, negotiations, order placement and invoice verification.
• Procure spare parts, tools, consumables and technical materials required for wind farm operations.
• Monitor delivery timelines, quality and cost targets to support uninterrupted site performance.
• Maintain audit‑ready procurement documentation.
• Act as the operational interface with suppliers for order execution, delivery tracking and issue resolution.
• Support supplier performance monitoring against defined KPIs and escalate risks.
• Assist with supplier onboarding and ensure compliance with HSE and operational standards.
• Support contract implementation, call‑offs and purchase order creation while ensuring adherence to contractual terms and internal procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Warehouse and Finance teams to define requirements and deliver procurement solutions.

Required profile

• Ability to work on‑site at least four days per week, with one day remote.
• Willingness to be based in Norddeich or Hamburg.
• Strong coordination skills to work with cross‑functional internal teams and external suppliers.
